|
|
Hey guys and gals. I finnally got my passport so i'm on the hunt (I'm Canadian by the way). I'm kind of getting a little discouraged though (I got sucked in by some negative threads on here and its got me all )
Does anyone know of a good recruiter out there to simplify this process of getting hired in good ole South Korea? Does anyone know of a dependable recruiter? Any leads? I tried searching google but I found many different websites of questionable quality that didn't seem too legit.
Is using a recruiter just as much of a gamble as finding a job yourself? (since they're all looking out for themselves anyway).
Also, does anyone have a good site they could sent me too with a list of quality links. Specifially links to all the different job boards / blacklist sites / general tips? I've been too many good ones throughout my research but its hidden in numerous threads that go back to god knows how far.
Thanks
EDIT:
http://www.kimsesl.com/job.htm
Has anyone used this site to find a job? They seem to have a lot of schools listed there with info on current # of foreign teachers and native teachers along with pay etc. |

Please... as if issues do not exist in Japan...
Do you know how nasty Japanese students are? True, the government doesn't own your visa there, but who cares? |

I'm dealing with a bit of a stickler myself. Hopefully it will work out. I can't recommend anyone to you but try to get any school you are applying for to let you talk to one a native speaker of English English teacher. Then get that teachers personal number or email so you can ask them questions without a boss listening to their every word.
Other than my current issue I like Korea. You'll get stressed, you'll laugh, and you'll definitely eat something strange.
I've lived in other countries. There is b.s. and good times to be found everywhere. Korea is no different. |

- Footprints (footprintsrecruiting.com)
- Canadian Connexion (canconx.com)
- Gone2Korea (gone2korea.com)
- Jen @ ESL job network (iteachntravel.com) |

I'd recommed Clara at ATC. http://www.atcjob.com/
I found her to be honest, quick to reply and easy to communicate with. She hooked me up with a great job, and all was as she described. |

Would anyone be able to vouch for, or have secondhand info on TKRS (Teach Korea Recruiting Service)? Im looking at smaller, Canadian based recruiters, and Im considering going through them, but the website seems to be out of date (2004!). |
