I know there have been posts on this (and probably recently) but the search function is not working for me (yet again). And, I am looking specifically for the Shinchon area.
Any recommendations for a nice one close to the Shinchon Rotary? If it's a little further away that's okay too (it can even be a nearby stop like Hongdae or Hapcheong as long as it's easily accessible by subway). I'll be booking one for a Saturday, Sunday and Monday (days too, not just nights) in mid-August.
Thanks! |

E Zen rocks.
Exit 4, head towards Ewha Women's Uni from the rotary, and just before you get to the Artreon Theater, bust a left. You should see a Starlight Cafe.
Turn left again in the alley, it's the second motel on the left. Awesome rooms. |

Hi again-
So I went to E Zen to reserve a room, and it looked very nice, but since it's a weeked that we're staying (next weekend) I think it's too expensive for three nights. It's about 70,000 won a night, and the guy (very friendly and polite by the way) explained that on the weekends it's 30,000 for 3 hours!
I am living with a Korean family, but my husband will be in Seoul for 4 days and 3 nights, and it's too inconvenient for us both to be there (and um, we need privacy). We need somewhere to stay and keep our stuff continuously, and I was hoping for more like 40,000-50,000 a night...
Any more recommendations for the Shinchon (or Sogang), Ehwa or Hongdae areas? I know there are a *lot* of love motels in these areas, and I can just walk around and search for myself, but I think a personal recommendation is better so we don't end up somewhere too sleazy (plus I'm working with limited time now).
Any hostel type places with double rooms and private showers, by any chance?
Please, keep the recommendations coming! It's very appreciated... |
