Taiwan is Chinese. Thailand is Thai. Taiwan is an island. Thailand is a peninsula or something.
The economies are different. The people look different. The jobs in Thailand pay less than Taiwan.
There's a fkn start. |

In Taiwan I didn't have hookers and trannies and both blatantly throwing their bodies at me while I was jacked jacked up on coke and rolls.
I haven't been to Thailand though. |

Therefore your opinion is, shall we say, mute? Why contribute to a thread if all your 'facts' are based on hearsay?
And to the OP, as awesome as Taiwan is, no, it is not Thailand. What kind of a question is that anyway? |

Huh? If you have not been there, then why are you even making a jajment? Only I, the Jajster, can do that - 1, 1 jaj, 2, 2 jajes, 3, 3 jajes! AHAHAHAHAHA - now, wasn't that fun? |

Their names do sound a little alike, you're right.
But this is like the 3rd thrad you've started in the past week comparing countries. The Korea v. Taiwan thing has been done to death here and elsewhere. Take a few seconds to do some original research and draw your own conclusions. |

Well, you did say the weather and the dating scene are the same... ppl are saying other things are different such as language, income, etc... which is true.
Tell me more. What are the dating scenes of the 2 places like? In what way are they similar? When I was in Thailand, the weather was miserable hot. Is it like that in Taiwan all year long? I heard its only like that in the summer, and I've seen photos of people wearing jackets and long pants in the winter.... But in Thailand its super hot all year round. |

I've taught/worked/lived in both countries.
I choose to live long term in Thailand.
Taiwan does have a bit of a winter - something we never get in Thailand. And the typhoon season in Taiwan is much more intense than anything I have experienced in six years in Thailand.
Thais are a bit friendlier, the food is a bit better, the beaches are better.
On the other hand, you can save quite a bit of money working in Taiwan - and it is difficult to save at all in Thailand.
Out in the countryside - I think Taiwan is actually more beautiful than Thailand - and the east coast of Taiwan is stunningly beautiful. I'm not saying rural Thailand isn't beautiful - because it is - just speaking in relative terms here.
While you can earn much more in Taiwan - the cost of living is much higher and the density of the population is much higher - so much more of a crowded feeling to it.
I found Chinese culture fascinating - Thai culture interesting - also relative.
Love both places really. If you need to make some money - Taiwan. If you are somewhat financially set - Thailand. |

| Songtan33, I'm glad you've been doing these "comparison" posts. I'm finishing up 2 years in Korea next month and I've been looking at alternatives for my next teaching gig. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with Taiwan for 1 year. It sounds like you can make decent money there. Also, I've always been interested in Chinese culture and I loooove traditional chinese food. Korean food doesn't even come close. |
