Ridiculous.
I like his claim though:... "He also claims to have suffered "public ridicule, degradation, and humiliation" as a result of his brief appearance in the film. "
Public ridicule? Well now that his name is splashed around the internet, I'm certain the public ridicule and degradation will die down.

You know...I was wondering when I'd hear about Borat again...

I didn't hear about this legal action but it seems like just one of a number of sue happy people involved in that movie....

I think EVERYONE in that movie that wasn't in on the joke is suing. The frat boys, the etiquette woman, now this tool.

Considering SBC's next movie is built around his gay fashionista character, I'm sure he'll be swamped with yet more lawsuits from people not in on the gag.

Lemerond is just trying to cash in. Can't say I wouldn't do it myself if some lawyer friend told me I had a good chance for an out of court settlement. A few million bucks and you'd quickly forget what an asshat your were. Still, it does seem sleazy.

The frat boys case got tossed as I assume the rest of these suits will be in time.

I understand why the frat boys got mad though. I mean no woman will ever want to come near them after that movie! I myself wanted to punch them.

Their previous standing in the community as playboy studs has come under fire. Perhaps that's why they got burned.

And good on 'em. Why hide who you are? If instead, they changed their attitude, perhaps they could function as humanoids.

That said, my friends from Tennessee saw that movie and hardly batted an eye at that scene as virtually everyone they knew back home acted like that (...the rodeo scene actually took place in the town where they went to high school).

Maybe if your lawyer is Jackie Childs. I can't imagine he has ANY chance at getting money.

Did the guy sign a release form? Then screw him. No case.

Did he appear unwillingly and not sign a form? Give him some money.

Was his face blurred? Then I wouldn't see how he could claim that his appearance in the movie humiliated him unless he recognized himself and told someone, and got teased.
