What's up everybody...I'm fairly new to Seoul (1.5 months) and so far don't know too much about the foreign music scene...I'm from Canada and I play the trumpet and a little guitar, played in a band in Canada called the Emerson Street Rhythm Band, we were a four piece who played shows in and around Toronto...check it out www.ESRBfunk.com ... we played a mixture of funk, soul, reggae and occasionaly rock, but mostly the first 3. But I digress; basically I'm looking for anyone who would be interested in jamming out or starting a band, perhaps reggae or funk, jazz, ska, im really up for anything and I have a very diverse interest in music...if your interested don't hesitate to email me at [email protected] ...I live just east of city centre by Janghanpyeong, am not opposed to travelling a bit but not too too far...so just hit me up with a message as I'm not gonna lie, I have an overwhelming urge to make music...peace |

Good luck. I play acoustic guitar and have been trying to find people to jam with since I arrived two months ago. But I live in Songtan and prefer to play country music (the older, the better), so maybe you'll have better luck being in Seoul.
btw, if you happen to find a place with open mic night, hit me up. |

try finding people here:

while back (few years ago), the open mics around itaewon were good spots to network with people. But, for the most part, they've died down (if not completely died out). |
