Y'all know this is a book for kids, right?
Before you freak out, let me inform you that I saw all the movies, including the latest one. |

And your point is?
Okay, you've seen the movies, but if you've actually read all the books (up to #6) you might see that saying these books are "just for kids" isn't quite true. There's a lot of adult content in the later books that I wouldn't necessarily want a pre-adolescent child reading.
While the frenzy may be a little too much, I think a lot of it has to do with wanting to read the book to its finish before having its ending spoiled by influx of the media, including the Internet.
And some of us just don't have anything better to do this weekend . |

| Rupert gets killed in the end and Harry turns metrosexual. I have it on good authority. |

My point. Right, haven't thought about it that way. |

| In any case, I think Harry Potter dies. After all, death and rebirth has been hinted in the series (was the choice of name for the Order of Phoenix fully explained?). |

the daegu branch of kyobo will have both english/american editions of the novel (the difference is the pretty picture on the cover)
i have reserved my copy already and if you do advance order you save 30%!!!
with all of the others i read n read till i finish and then i re read....
i don't care if its deemed a "kids book" its entertaining escapism....
cheers
kg
ps...for the all the closet fans there are more neutral covers available (in the uk) so it won't be such a stigma to be seen reading it... |

| Well, I picked up a copy today here in Busan. I was walking up towards the gates of PNU and went inside a shop called "Book Center" and they had them for 36,000 won. I found it rather funny that they were selling the books right out of the box they came in, which clearly states "Do not open until July 21". I guess no one can read English at the book shop, so I got it a few days early. I'm already on chapter 2, and I have to say that it is very dark so far....... |

I've never read an HP book. A friend of mine (as oxfordsu wrote) picked up a copy. I read only the last page.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!:
Voldemort turns good and puts on a huge broadway show. |

| Downloaded it last night and finished it this morning. I am still going to buy it a chris's shop but I couldn't help myself when I saw the torrent. Was pretty good. But for some reason I felt like it was missing something. |
