The person who sponsers your E-2 visa is responsible for you in Korea. If that person allows it, then yes, it is OK (in some cases you will have to get Immigration's approval as well). If that person says no then you are not allowed to.

In Korea, it is illegal to "teach" just anywhere - only in approved locations.

Think of the badge of honor you can wear when you go home and say yeah I was busted. And, your mates say for what? And, you say I was nicked for teaching. And, eveyone busts out laughing!

Can you imagine the book someone like George Orwell could write?
