Have you ever found it more fun when talking with friends and refering to another person to use a nickname instead of using that person's real name?

We knew this old man who was a chain smoker. Him breathing near you smelled like the smell of death, so we called him BREATH. Smile

We also knew a tall and lanky Japanese guy who would always have his hair made up perfectly. He also had effeminate manners. We called him THE MODEL.

We called another guy we didn't like very much SPAZ.

Off the top of my head...

Dude with a wig became known as 'the Weave.'

A small teenager in high school was known as 'the Little Green Sprout.'

Dude who accidentally peed while having drunken sex and foolishly told his friends about it became 'Boy Sloppy.'

An ugly girl was known as 'Trotters 'n' Snout.'

There's more, of course.

I've dished out a few mean nicknames.

One of my Korean friends told me his English name was Daniel, so I joked and said I'd call him that. He said "No! Never Daniel!" so now his nickname is Never Daniel.

Also recently my Australian friend Grant started dating one of the Korean punk girls. He was down buying beer when she remarked "Where's my Skinny Piggy?" We're in the process of making it stick.

A few years ago there was this five-foot-tall American GI who was around all the time. He was always the shortest person in the room, shorter than your typical Korean high school girls. You know when he was moving here, all his friends back home told him "Finally you'll be somewhere where you're considered tall!" Anyway, we nicknamed him Too Tall.

We nicknamed another soldier Spanky because he and a bunch of his friends had a communal rubber vulva named Vanessa.

I've made up a lot more flattering ones.

Oh yeah, remembered the worst one. There was this soldier named Rufus who showed up at our club and got really drunk. He was found having sex with a Canadian girl who was so drunk she didn't know what was going on. At the time I considered it rape so we chased him away. After that he acquired the nickname Roofie Boy. We never saw him again.

Thinking back to school days, I dredged up:

Itchy, Pupal Larvae, Two-Four (a somewhat promiscuous teenage girl, named for the number of lovers she'd allegedly had by the age of 16), Pig, the Needle (for an unimpressively endowed dude), and Newman (for the crime of resembling the guy from Seinfeld).

Mostly though in my town we went with simple descriptive ones:for example, Punker Steve, Scumbag Clint, Evil Jamie, the Slapper, the Ancient One, Poo-ball, the Deathwop (an Italian guy who loved 'Slayer' and fighting), Greasy, and Krazy Kent.

Nicknames can be pretty vicious, but once you start calling somebody 'Boy Sloppy,' it's hard to stop...

There was a girl at my college named Sketchy Emily and people would call her that to her face Crying or Very sad I wasn't one of them...

I went to high school with a girl whose mother was Ukrainian, and filled out her birth certificate while still under the influence of some pain medication, causing her to use the Cyrillic alphabet to write the English letter "r", resulting in a legal name of "Lapissa" rather than "Larissa."

She foolishly shared this information with her so-called friends. Of course, we thought this was hilarious, and immediately referred to her as "Lapissa," "Pissa," and finally just "Piss." This became endemic, and even the teachers started using it. Once university started, she finally put her foot down and refused to answer to that name.

When I was in high school one of my guy friends was rather short. Very cute, just short. Anyway, the girls started calling him Titsize. He found out about it and decided it was a small price to pay for the view Razz
