|
|
I'm heading back to the States soon, and am booking my own flight. I'm paying for this ticket myself, so I'd like to find the best deal possible without any unreasonable restrictions (like having to take a 36-hour flight). So what Web sites are good? It wouldn't be cheaper to go through a Korean travel agency, would it?
Thanks! |

| Be flexible about your departure date and shop around. There's a sticky on travel agencies in the travel forum, I suggest you read it. |

| Instead of buying a ticket directly, try going through a travel agent. |

| Try Singapore Air. I booked my own flight back to the states with them for December for a reasonable price. Well I booked them from Seoul to San Fransisco then booked a Southwest flight home from there. Worth a try. |

Thanks for the tip. They are 100,000 won cheaper than what the travel agents quoted me. This is for a September departure.
I don't know if this website is good for travel from Asia price wise, but it's good elsewhere: Fare Compare |

| I'm leaving for New York tomorrow - non-stop flight on Asiana - booked through Top Travel (Kang Sun-Eun, 02-738-3563) round-trip for about 1 million, 400 thousand won. |

That's about standard, I think. At least, coming from the US-to-Korea end. If you book within two weeks, iirc, it's more expensive. So, earlier is better. |

OP are you a Seminole? Is Bullwinkles Saloon still alive and kicking on Tennessee street? I went to Leon High school btw. |

| I'm a pseudo-Seminole, just cheering from the Midwest. I wish I could give you an answer to that question, but, sadly, I'm a poser. Nice catch on the handle though. Go 'Noles! |
