| Any opinions on if the NFL should suspend Vick now, or wait to see how the trial plays out? It will be interesting to see how the new hardazz commish will deal with the situation. |

I think he has to be suspended for this. Goodell can suspend him for weakening the NFL image so that should be the play. |

My gut says suspend him now for a long, long time.
But, I realize it's "fair" to wait and see what convictions come about. The problem with that, though, is that Goddell already suspended Pacman Jones, so he sort of forced himself into a hardline stance.
I say suspend him indefinitely. |

| I can't imagine the NFL allowing Vick to bring this cloud of controversy with him all over the country. They can't allow this topic to roll into every stadium the Falcons visit. So from that perspective, adios Vick. I don't see him wearing an NFL uniform again. |

Well i think its a slightly different situation. Pacman was suspended for not reporting 2 arrests which is a violation of the rules. Goodell can suspend vick but he wouldn't have the rules on his side as much in this case. I still say suspend him though. |

| He'll get suspended. Also, he'll probably get traded. Looks like Matt Schaub will be the sleeper fantasy pick this year. |

| Pretty sure he's going down in flames. I, for one, hope he gets a second chance (after being appropriately punished, of course). |
Why?
You lay down with dogs, you get fleas....He's just lucky one didn't decide to latch on his jugular...
He's been acting up the last few years and he needs a swift kick in the ass and one hell of a wake-up call. Hopefully this will be it. |
Well, that's why I said I hope he gets appropriately punished. I do, however, hope it will be one with a positive outcome, rather than turning him into a worse offender (as is likely to happen if he is driven out of football forever). |

Nike just announced they'll go ahead and release the planned Michael Vick shoe. No link yet, just heard it on the radio.
edit: heard that on ESPNRadio, but saw this on SI.com:

ATLANTA (AP) -- Michael Vick's legal troubles prompted Nike on Thursday to suspend the release of its latest product line named after the Atlanta Falcons quarterback.
Nike has told retailers it will not release a fifth signature shoe, the Air Zoom Vick V, this summer. Stoyer said the four shoe products and three shirts that currently bear Vick's name will remain in stores.

Well, it's not as if they could get those kids working in sweatshops to unmake the shoes.... |

Matt Schaub was traded this year to the Texans, Joey Harrington is the new guy in Atlanta. Good luck Falcons, haha. |

| If he plays, any guess on which team will play "who let the dogs out" first when his name is announced? |

This whole saga is still pretty mind blowing to me. The NFL has not came out and said what they will do yet. According to the story the gambling could alone be grounds for a lifetime ban from the NFL under the league's conduct policy. Sucks to be Mike Vick right now. |
