I got a new hard drive and I used Paragon Dive backup and cloned my System drive to the new hard drive.
Everything seems to work right but there are a few things that are broken. first off, a lot of the services in Vista aren't running. Things like DHCP, Policy Diagnostics and such aren't.
When I manually try to start the services I get a "Error Code 5: Access Denied".
i'm logged in as the administrator and have tried a bunch of different ways but I still ge tthe error message.
Anyone know whats up? Is there a way I can "repair" the vista install without losing all the program files? |

Boot from your Vista DVD. You'll be given a choice to install or use the utilities. Choose the utilities and let it run diagnostics on your Vista installation. It should present you with a list of problems and offer to repair them also. |

I had to do a fresh install of Vista. That fixed the problem. |
