Time bends through space..its circular. Its enclosed within the universe system.
Outside of that..everything would exist outside of time.
If you were God looking at the universe, you could just interject at any point in time you feel. If its too long to wait you just spin the universe then stop it at the right place. |

No. They are an artificial construct.
Anything made is not real. Anything not made is real. Then the question is, are unmade donuts real? I think we must accept that unmade donuts must be real, for they are not made but are consubstantial with the Father, who is not made and who made all.
But since there is no time, we cannot make donuts. I'm not sure what it is that burns, but it's not donuts. So, that must be real, unless it's donuts, in which case we did not make them. |

What time is it? Now. It's always Right Now.
The present progressive, baby. That's what it's all about.

Alan Watts. I was thinking about that fraud today during a rather boring class. Two weeks in Japan and he was a pro on Zen.
Time like gravity is non electromagnetic phenomena. We can't start it, stop it, shield it etc.
Prior to Newtonian physics almost all natural phenomena were explained by "philosophy."
So what is your point so to speak?
I'd love to be able to be able to manipulate time. Have any earthshaking concepts on this. I'm gung ho for the idea of a time machine!
Whatever... it can be measured as can gravity. |

Well I really didn't mean it in a philosophical sense but more of in a psychological sense. I just think it's cool how when sleeping or dreaming time can seem to last a lot longer than in reality. Or when you are on vacation for a month and don't have to be anywhere time and days of the week vanish. So if you never had to work again do you think you would be concious of what time it was? More personal observations I guess. There is another thread on here about time slowing down and seeming like slow motion in emergency situations. |

Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.
Think about it. Obviously the OP is not a physics student:) |
