MILES MAEDA
Miles Maeda was one of the pioneering members of Chicagos club and rave scene back in the early 90s. Originally hailing from Hawaii, Miles influence in the Midwest was unique and made long-lasting impressions. His classical background and training at inspired him to experiment with many different styles and genres which shone forth in his prolific studio productions and live performances. This allowed him to maintain a certain artistic license that spawned projects which enriched Chicago for many years.

And his current residency at the Smar Bar, celebrating 6 years from '98-'04, has also been an anchor in the new house music scene along with nights featuring SmartBar co-residents DJ Heather, DJ Colette, and Justin Long (No Assembly Required).

Alongside his creative music lifestyle, Miles is also a certified yoga teacher (World Evolution Yoga), traveling the world (Traveling Love Show) to share these tools of transformation alongside his DJ shows. He also runs a DJ/music production program (DJ Evolution) to assist those wishing to cultivate a deeper creative connection to DJing and electronic music production.

Hailing from Spain, this dynamic duo has effortlessly carved out a secure slot amongst the elite with numerous slices of picture perfect modern House on their very own imprint STEREO PRODUCTIONS. In addition to these original epic productions, the crew has also revamped many special projects on such labels as Yoshitoshi, Shinichi, Skyline and on and on.

Famous for their trademark Iberican sound, a delicious blend of hypnotizing, warm, inviting tribal soundscapes laced with a brilliant use of modern tech elements, Chus & Ceballos have figured out the formula that easily satisfies every punter within the clubbing collective. It is not only the starry eyed clubbers that worship at the altar of Chus & Ceballos. i went to this venue on saturday for the dimitry from paris/masa from studio apartment gig

riskei obviously don't give a shit about their parties or punters by putting stuff on there

what bar runs out of vodka at 1am? later i pay the 12 bcks for a heineken and get presented with a warm bottle cap still fastened and a plastic glass filled with ice

meanwhile the guy next to me is vomiting on the bar and in a comatose state and the staff just ignore this and stare at him

hilarious

We had Miles on at our old night in England 2 years back. Wicked DJ and a top man. Shame I don't move to Seoul until September.

What's the house scene like over there?

Any good record shops?
