I'll be on my way to Boracay oh-so-soon, and was wondering about the whole topless thing over there. Is it illegal, just frowned upon, or totally kosher? I know that you can get in trouble for that kind of thing in some places, and I am definitely not in the mood to deal with any of that while vacationing Wink

Big taboo, even if nobody says anything you'll be upsetting a lot of local people. (plus a few korean tourists, but they don't count)

I was only on white beach for about 3 minutes before I saw my first topless woman. I never saw another one though.

ps: Definitely managed to upset some Koreans this way, although I found it too funny to care at the time. Ooops... Suppose I thought it should be ok, seeing as how they love the naked spa thing...

Palawan has well over 1000+ islands...you can take a boat to them (from El Nido has MANY options)...have a driver drop you and some friends off for the afternoon. You could go topless to your hearts content in that way.

You'd probably be the only ones on some of those islands/beaches.. if there others, probably most likely a few other Europeans if anyone at all.

Staying at Casa Camilla, starting on Sunday- I'll be the one enjoying the happy hour specials while sunbathing as near-topless as possible Wink

Oh yeah, and avoiding my boss, who is apparently also going to be in Boracay.

Hey !

I have been to Boracay twice (and I absolutely love it by the way !!! ) and each time I have seen topless women sun tanning ....

I always wish I had the courage to do that !!!!

And it's hilarious to see single white men walking back and forth near the women without their bikini tops on try to sneak a little peak without being too obvious !!!

- Just remember the sunscreen .... They have some great stuff on Boracay that is German or European that you can buy in the main store on the beach that is the best I have ever tried ! It stays on your body even if you go swimming and when you get out its like the water rolls off you like you were a duck Smile
