My throat feels bad...I had a cold a few weeks ago and now I don't have any other symptoms other than a tickly throat and mild chest cough. I think the remainders of the cold, along with pollution (does it seem worse to anyone right now than it was a few weeks ago in Seoul?) have combined to form something unpleasant.

The main problem is that there is just a little phlegm in my chest, and so when I am trying to sleep I keep waking up because of this feeling and coughing (not very productively). I haven't a had a good night's sleep for days.

Also, I am going to Taiwan tomorrow for vacation and I am worried because I'll be staying in hotel rooms with a friend. I don't want to keep her up with my coughing...

So, is there anything I can get in the pharmacy tomorrow over the counter? I need something that will clear up any mucus as well as soothe my throat at night. Advice?

Pharmacist will probably give you something with ma-huang (ephedrine) in it.
