This was in Chuncheon on a Canon1D markII. Great camera.

These are the photos that I love of the places that are gone.

One more. Probably exceed my bandwidth at photobucket. Sad

Not so keen on this one in retrospect. A bit obvious. Still, a telling photo of the shape of things.

Here's a picture from this weekend of the lead singer of Things We Say, a hardcore band.

hey man, where was that show? Do you know of any other upcoming hc or other shows?

That show was on June 30 in Skunk Hell in Hongdae. I know Things We Say has a CD coming out sometime this summer so they're due for a big show. I've always considered them a side project of the Geeks but they're a great band in their own right.

There's also a lot of old school hardcore and metalcore, and of course the standard punk scene with all the usual divisions. What's your taste?

Speaking of the Geeks, here's a picture of them using the same double-flash technique (aka luck).

all of the above man. Though im not familiar with any of the local bands, i'd pretty much be down for any show. Is there some site where I can see a list of the shows, or are there just a bunch of flyers at that venue?

There are two things you can do.

1) Register at www.brokeinkorea.proboards46.com

2) Add myspace.com/koreanpunks to your friends list for weekly show listings

Usually shows are announced on Thursday before the weekend, which doesn't give you a lot of time to figure things out. Just message me if you have any questions about venue.

The only show this weekend I know about is a Rux show on Friday. They're a streetpunk band and I think they just got back from a show in Beijing. Skunk Hell has shows every Saturday starting around 7. There are a few other venues in the neighbourhood as well.

I'm no photographer, but here are two more just to keep the thread going.

This is Jeondung temple on Kanghwa island near Incheon. Last weekend my wife and I were bored so we hopped in the car and went.

The person (looks like a monkey) in the corner is a representation of a woman in the local village that pissed off the carpenter that was making the temple. He decided to carve a likeness of her holding up the roof to punish her.

A hotel in Kangwondo that, after seeing this picture, a friend of my wife's "had to stay at". It's apparently quite expensive and slightly run down.

That big ship? I went there a few years ago. There's a too expensive restaurant in it. Here's the view from inside.

Woah! Nice shots, all!

Especially that Namsan skyburner. Sweet stuff.

Don't care for yours though, faster. Intimidatingly good.
