Like DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
There is a difference between air mail and surface mail. All I want to know is if the US Post Office still offers surface mail service. The reason I want to know is so I can calculate shipping costs.

There's a petition at onlinepetitions.com (i think that's the address) to get the USPS to restart surface mail to international cities.

Recently the United States Postal Service has ended all shipping of surface goods from the US. The only option available now is air freight.

This came upon many only as they have recently gone in to ship things to Korea (and elsewhere) but this also affects many non-profit organizations, humanitarian projects, and educational institutions, etc., that have used this
method to ship supplies and learning material around the world.

Below is a link to a petition to congress, to rectify this problem.

http://www.petitiononline.com/zikomo/petition.html

This doesn't have to be just for the current US residents. Anyone affected can sign this petition. There is an option to indicate your country. IT TAKES 30 SECONDS
