what i mean is the jackhammer! they are redoing the sidewalks. the way they have decided to redo the sidewalks is attach a massive super jackhammer to a backhoe and drill up the concrete, inch by inch.
the thing rattles the whole building!
the locals have complained to the mayor and stand outside pointing and shouting at the workers. this has been going on a good two weeks! plus i finally got sick! plus the boss just won't quit riding my ass!
rant ended.

There was a bunch of stuff on the news a year or two ago where the same thing was happening. There was a construction site next to two large apartment complexes that was blasting and drilling / jack hammering a chunk of mountain so that the area could be developed. It actually destabilized the foundations of the apartment complexes and they were no longer deemed safe for habitation. |
