I am soon to leave for Korea and have read people advise to bring some resources as a back-up to any, if any, in the classroom.

What would teachers recommend? Are there books which are used nationally or some that are more popular than others? Are there any authors who are particularly useful for use in Korea?

Cheers for any help.

Your here is not my here.

When your here is my here it will be too late; it is not too late, yet.

Any advice on resources to bring/take to Korea if one has the luxury of Charing Cross Road?

Cheers

There are national textbooks, and they suck, but your school will probably insist on using them. I usually had a pretty well stocked classroom, but I bought construction paper at costco (in Korea) Kids story books might do well. Movies are popular, but the kids are going to want Korean subtitles.
