The tone of your previous post suggests that your greater sense of "security" in Korea stems from putting down Korean women and their "ruler" bodies. Sounded pretty insecure, imo.

Dude, "ruler" is a body shape used to describe women! Google "ruler body type fashion."

True fact: I have an hourglass figure.

True fact: The vast majority of Korean women don't.

True fact: I can't change my hourglass shape without vast surgery.

True fact: Neither can Korean women.

How the hell is that putting someone down? Rolling Eyes

Hey, that's cool. If you weren't putting down Korean women, I'll withdraw my previous comments. I was wrong. You were right. K?

Atavistic was just telling it as it is. I don't think it was offensive, unless you for some reason feel defensive about Korean women's bodies.

When I was in Korea, I didn't give a toss. I never thought to compare myself as I considered myself altogether a very different creature somehow. Not something I gave thought to. I actually found myself less concerned, if anything. During that time, I was also less concerned with being feminine for some reason. Took less care about those things, and more interest in other aspects of life. I didn't realise for a couple of years that I was supposed to be jealous of Korean women, until I started reading Dave's. Wink

I knew I was considered an oddity, because of my big bust, but I didn't give a shyte, frankly.

That is exactly what I was trying to say. Thanks.

I think she meant secure as in "not insecure." I can relate. I think it's mostly because of the voracity of the guys I meet here. I know, I know, I'm a Western woman and therefore I'm a homely cow, but try telling that to the guys jostling each other on the dance floor. They are, as Strongbad would say, all up ons. Guys back home didn't seem nearly as desperate. Either I've gotten better-looking, or there is a segment of the population whose fondest wishes aren't filled exclusively by Korean ladies. Maybe both.

It's because (as everyone knows) Western women are "looser" than Korean women. Laughing

C'mon, haters. You know I'm right.

What is "Scofield"s mix? And Bruce Lee?

Wentworth Miller....Part Jamaican....I knew I thought he was hot for a reason...hehehe.....

Quote:
Miller's father is of African-American, Jamaican, British, Ashkenazi Jewish, and Cherokee descent, while his mother is of Russian, French, Syrian, Dutch, and Lebanese descent. In an interview, Miller said: "My father is black and my mother is white. Therefore, I could answer to either which kind of makes me a racial Lone Ranger, at times, caught between two communities."

Bruce Lee

Quote:
His father, Lee Hoi-Chuen (李海泉), was Chinese, and his Catholic mother, Grace (何愛瑜), had a German father and a Chinese mother.

Looks like that page has been slightly vandalized, as the character "Scofield" apparently appeared on a show called "Prison pups." Smile

I'm all for mixing it up but.....

Miller just looks like a white guy.

Bruce Lee just looks Chinese.

And I'd seen Hallie Berry in Swordfish, but I didn't even know she was "black" until I was an interview with her where she was talking about how difficult it was for her to be "black" and make it in Hollywood.

Here's a website devoted to the subject...

http://www.mixedfolks.com/
One of the most surprising...to me at least....

Her real name is Joanne Crussie DeVarona. According to IMDB she is of mixed Mexican-Amercan/Irish descent and is a role-model to many Chicano/Latino youths for her respect and desire to honor and remember her Latino roots. She is most widely known for her portrayal of Maggie Seaver in Growing Pains, a popular ABC sitcom which ran from 1985 to 1992. She appeared in a handful of big-screen films and has many made-for-TV movies to her credit.

I hadn't a clue...

A good example of a hot person of mixed heritage would be Daniel Henney
