I guess if it's illegal the mods can rig it so that upper case isn't possible in the subject line, eh?

I'LL BET YOU'LL WET YOUR PANTS THINKING ABOUT THAT EVENTUALITY.

Lol I agree. Especially with that first one, whenever I run onto some pretentious and/or nihilistic hipster, I just want to slap him upside his bad hairdo.

But since this IS a thread about threads, and you are posting on it, shouldn't you be slapping yourself upside the head? And if you are, how can you type at the same time?

Hmm, curiouser and curiouser ... Cool

I haven't a clue if this has been mentioned but I really hate when threads disappear with no explanation from the mods. It's one thing to lock it with a parting explanation but when they just up and vanish, it's a bit annoying...

I know. It always happens right after I finally tap out a long, thoughtful, heartfelt post that I've been meaning to write for a while. I check back to see if it has changed the world for the better... and it's gone.

I feel you, my dear Ribbit-girl. Yesterday I started a thread called "Theory: princess = admin's sock" and guess what? I can't find it anymore, so I think it got deleted just as I thought that it would be. Hm, so maybe my hunch was right on the money and princess is admin's sock. I rest my case. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

On the other hand, maybe one of the mods is princess' sock???

I hate posters that use meaningless acronyms for their nicknames who join the thread late and post messages that are out of place, don't contribute to anything, and leave nothing else worth discussing.

They are like the strangely dressed child in the back of the class with a big head who sniffs the fruity smelling markers a lot and eats paste while making weird noises and hiding boogers under the desk.

'Insight,' by Biafra, Flouride, Ray, and Pellegro

"Who's that kid in the back of the room (x2)
Setting all his papers on fire? (x2)
Why doesn't he want tons of friends? (x2)
Says he's bored when we hang around... (x2)

(chorus)
We
never talk to him.
He
doesn't look quite right.
He
just laughs at us
And we
just beat him up
'cause what
he sees
escapes our sight."

I am not sure how your response is a fitting response to mine. I never implied that people who write threads about other threads deserve being slapped upside the head. I am just agreeing with the first point of what BuHaoChi wrote about "avant-garde" or "surreal" people.

Sorry if you misread that. Were you drunk posting by any chance when your responded Bobster?

Like you, I am curiouser and curiouser too. Wink

Save it to your hard drive and if it disappears from the Cafe, post it on your blog, where it belonged from the start. Dave's is NOT the best place to store your Really Deep Thoughts, you know.

Annoying thing : Can some of you people think of better reasons to insult me than that I like a drink in the evening (which most of us do, of course) or, as others do, that that I'm older than a lot of you? I'm just asking because it gets boring after a long while, that's all. Be creative. Think of some new reasons for insults. What would it cost you? The extra effort on your part would at least entertain me a little.

Well gee Mr. Bobster, I was not meaning to insult you at all, I just asked a simple question based on a simple observation of your slightly strange response to my question. And based on your defensive outburst, it sounds like people have either leveled this simple question at your before, or you have already put up with lots of "drunk" accusations from other posters? No need to get all huffy and defensive; I wasn't meaning to offend you.
