I don't see that working. Drew Carey would be perfect on a show like Family Feud but Price is Right needs someone who's a cross between a cult leader and a used car dealer. I can't picture trailer-trash women running onstage and kissing Drew Carey.
Know who I'd pick for Price is Right? Christopher McDonald. He was the perfect game show host in the movie Quiz Show and has the exact qualities I demand. Plus he was in the movie Happy Gilmore which had Bob Barker.
PS) Look what I found on his Wikipedia page. This is apparently Drew Carey when he was in the marines.

Fat guys are funny. Well known fact of history. Oliver Hardy, W.C. Fields, Jackie Gleason, that disgusting Scot that Mike Meyers plays in the Austin Powers movies ... Drew Carey has made me smile once or twice. Sort of sad to lose that to a game show, actually. |

I just don't like watching that guy. The Drew Carrey Show was painful to watch, and "Whose Line is it Anyway?"...I just don't see how improve is funny. I think you can tell a lot about someone if they fall into one of two categories: those who love improve, and those who would rather spend two hours in an E-Mart on a Saturday afternoon, than watch improve. I predict Carrey crashes and burns badly, and Bob Barker will have never looked so good compared to that mediocre attention hound.
Host suggestion: Billy Bush from Access Hollywood. |
