I'm helping out a friend design a curriculum for her kiddie hagwon, as it is, the students only attend the school 2 or 4 hours a week, so I want to keep them working and talking as much as possible (They can read at home and do worksheets at home or independently in my opinion.)

As most people know, despite the fact that this is an effective strategy (considering the time limitations), mommies aren't going to like it unless they can see some kind of progress (in the form of books completed, vocabulary "memorized" Rolling Eyes etc.. ) So, my plan is to let the students work on their own time with an organized set of reading comprehension/vocabulary building material.

I recall that in grammar school we had a box in the back of the room of about 200, 1 or 2 two page texts broken down into 6 or 7 levels per grade, the teacher held the answer key and we were allowed to go at our own pace.

I'm looking for something like this to purchase online, but I haven't been having any luck so far (in part because I don't really know if there is a technical term I'm not aware of for this kind of learning aide.

Any thoughts, links, opinions or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

So, for upper level and older students, I have no problem making/finding appropriate material

The sets were titled SRA something or other...

https://www.sraonline.com/

put SRA reading into an ebay search and you will find some older sets
