Have any of you guys ever eaten at the Turkish Kebab place in Itaewon (?), down one of the alleyways next to the tranny bars...
For 3000 won, you'll get the best Kebab you've ever had. The only problem is - the last 4 times I've been in Itaewon, the friggin' place has been closed.
Does anyone know what time they're open? |

Whenever he feels like opening basically.
True, they're quite good, but don't you think they're small?
Mind you, I eat like a horse. |

Volkan's place, Volkan's rules/hours.
He opens at night to get the drinking crowd, closes when the meat runs out. Generally closed on Mondays.
They are really good; comparable to the places at Taksim in Istanbul. And Volkan and Sait are nice guys. They even chat with me in Turkish if it's not busy. |

The best kebabs I've ever had were in Germany-huge Turk population. After a night on the piss it would be a toss-up between a kebab or actually paying for the train home-quite a gamble as the ticket for not having a ticket was about $60 at the time. Well more often then not we'd go for the kebab with a thick slab of goat cheese on it... Umm, delicious! |

The sign says he opens at 2 (but that seems to be flexible). If you are early, go back up to the main Itaewon street, right on the corner next to the coffee shop place (where Burger King used to be). Follow the crowd. There is a 'replacement' kabob place tucked into a crevase there. W2,000. Tasty. |

ajgeddes, start where the Burger King used to be. Face it, with your back away from the main road, walk down the sidewalk to the first corner, turn left. There it is.
It's quite small and easy to miss. And yes, his kebabs are divine. If I'm drunk, he can close up shop just feeding me. |

yeah that place is good. They call em shwarmas though not kebabs (that's what the sign said). And it's 3000 not 2000.

Who makes better kebabs?
The Jordanian / Iraqi next to the old Burger King
or
The Turks around the corner?
I've only tried the former so far, it was very good. |
