What is the best bang for the buck if I stay in Tokyo for 3 nights? Also, what are hostels like there? Where are you stayed? What do you recommend?

I stayed at the

Oak Hotel. It is on the cheaper side but if you want to meet other travelers, it isn't good for that. About a 10 minute walk from Ueno station, and no more than 5 minutes from the closest subway station, which is on the Ginza line. The dorm rooms are really cheap for tokyo (1,800 yen)

I also stayed at K's House Tokyo. It was clean and decent, no complaints. More social than Oak Hotel, but also a bit more expensive (cheapest dorm room i think is 2,500).

I am going with my gf. I don't think she wants to stay in a dorm or hostel I guess....
Is it clean? Private?

I think it is nearly impossible to find a place in Tokyo or anywhere in Japan for that matter that isn't clean.

The Oak is private yes. K's house, not so much.
