while swimming in haeundae beach busan i looked back from the the sea to my pile of clothes to see an adjuma poking around it , I though nothing of it but when i retuned to my pile my watch was gone , it was only a cheap watch but i was still dissapointed , the adjuma was short with a curly perm like hair style , baggy flowery pants and a pink visor , if anyone sees an adjuma of this description flashing some suspicous looking new bling in the haeundae area please shout me a holla

An ajumma stole a fridge from me left in a private parking garage once. We got the whole act on security tape. She gave the fridge back but the security guard begged us to return the tape and not press charges.

Every woman over the age of 40 in Korea is now a suspect.

We've had zucchini and cucumbers blatently stolen from our week-end farm, with the thieves being old ajumas hot on the prowl. They walk around the farm as if it's their own help-yourself supermarket. When confronted, they pull this blank-faced "What, me?" look, as if no-harm-no-foul was their golden years mantra.

There are many aspects of confucianism that are a disconnect with 21st century 1st world living. That Korea's eldery live with a sense of entitlement and impunity under the law is one of them. I'm all for respecting your elders and the wisdom of their experience blah blah blah, but theft of private property trumps age, and should be considered so. Maybe a little more "learn by example" and less "I've earned the right" would help their image a bit more.

Hey,

Yeah I have seen her at that beach.

No, wait that was on Korea's most wanted. You'd better not try getting the watch back she's armed and dangerous. Twisted Evil

Cheers,

Michelle

Yes, I saw the adjuma in question. EXACT description. Permed, curly black hair. Short. Baggy glowery pants, pink visor. But I saw her in Seoul. I think she knows you are onto her. Perhaps she is fleeing to North Korea??

So, what would occur next? I'm curious as to how you would go about handling the situation.
