Nope. At 6.4 months, I now officially can't stand being pregnant.

A lot of this might have to do with my 14 hour flight yesterday and being back at work today. Oh, yes, and the heat, and the fact that hubby's still on holiday, having a good time. The place is a mess, we forgot food in the fridge (for a two week holiday) so tonight I have to not only unpack but de-stink the kitchen.

And my knuckles ache like you wouldn't effin believe. I looked it up - yep, it's normal. Why would the only fricking place I retain water be on my knuckles?

Up to this point, everything been golden, but man, next kid who gets in my face with a "Hi! HI! HIEE!" is going to get slapped.

And try walking regularly. That's good for both you and baby.

Salt, hmmn... Yep, that makes sense. I just spent two weeks with my parents, both big fans of the drive-through.

Hubby's still in Canada until Monday, so I was planning on living on K-food until then - he's pretty much taken over most of my care and feeding. I guess I'll have to take that trip to the grocery store and do some cooking. I know soy sauce is basically salt, but is gochujang also high in sodium?

I'll have to find a swimming pool, too. My folk's apt building in Canada had one, and I was out there for hours every day. So nice - didn't even seem like exercise, really.

I feel like a dangerous animal these days, though. My emotions are all over the place. I got home to my messy, stinky apartment with luggage-vomit everywhere, and just started bawling. I'm hot, uncomfortable, feel like I wasted my two week precious holiday on this trip to Canada (my family's got PROBLEMS, man) and wish I could just shut my mind down with a pitcher of beer like I might have pre-preggo. Self-medication isn't all bad, eh?

Well, I better stop before I get Jinju on my case. Gosh, revealing that I've eaten some fast food, and even fondly remembered drinking copious amounts of alcohol during pregnancy. "Worse than what Pandas do", if I recall correctly...

Hag on in there Simone. It can be a rough ride, and the fatigue and morning sickness doesn't help. But you've not got much longer to go.

Do any of you have a baby with dairy sensitivity? I noticed blood in Haneul's stool about a week and a half ago and called about it. They checked her diaper and believe that she has dairy sensitivity.

Since I am exclusively breastfeeding, I have to be off of dairy. It's pretty hard, but I'm getting by with soy products. I just hope she doesn't have problems with soy too.

Anyway, I wondered if this is common in Asian babies. Note: It's not lactose intolerance, it's a problem with the protein in cow's milk that the mom drinks and passes on. (Lactose is a sugar, not a protein.)

I'd ask at Kimchi Mammas http://kimchimamas.typepad.com/
it's a US based blog with a whole mix of backgrounds, but typically with some connection to Korea. Thursday is typically their open thread day - if you get in there, I'm sure people will share any related experiences they may be having.

And on my complaining - I went for acupuncture yesterday, and for some reason he only did my right hand and foot - wanted to do the left on Friday. Well, I immediately felt better, but then I had mynormal "waking up at 4 am in pain" moment, except my right hand was perfectly normal, and only my left hand hurt. I think he may have only done the right side so I'd feel the huge difference between "treated" and "not treated". Sneaky bastard. Either way, he's getting a repeat customer.

I'm totally sold.

Hi Simone
Where is the acupuncturist and does he speak English? I've still got "restless legs" and it's driving me crazy! Thought it was only a pregnancy thing.....

Mine is right near my office, near COEX.

There are plenty of oriental medical doctors who speak enough english to treat you. I'd ask the KTO to find you one near your home. Where are you located?

Simone, gochujang has a lot of salt in it. Don't eat the stuff!

Eat lighter things like salads - that's what I did to get by when I was almost 7 months pregnant in the summer!

Mokpochika-

Your girls are gorgeous! Congratulations to you. Your husband has the best smile in that picture- Looks like a very proud man with his ladies all around him.

All the new babies are gorgeous.

Hana is doing well- She is 7 months old now, rolling all over the place.

Here are some pictures with her future hubbie!

She is great fun, only issue is sleep...We both need more of it.

Alfee- I wonder if maybe you could think about accentuating your pregnancy body for your wedding-

Pregnancy sucks yes, but the form of your body is at it's most beautiful. Trully-

Post pregnancy is another story- sorry

Good to see this thread is still alive.

I have a question-

Does anyone know where I can find the words to Santoki- the kids song?

enjoy,

Chonbuk

Dongyo has all the popular children's song noraebang style. Our 2.5 year-old loves it.

Chonbuk. Cute pics - they both look like great friends.

Simone. KTO totally slipped my mind (surprising as I use them for most stuff). Generally I like to hear others' recommendations before going to a health professional though - from what you said, you're acupuncturist sounded good. I'm in Yongsan-gu so I'll probably look for someone a bit closer. Cheers.

Chonbuk--Hana is adorable! At first I thought that Hana and Kai were twins, but then I re-read your post that Kai was her future hubby. Smile

Simone--Thanks for the kimchimammas link. I've heard of the site, but never knew they had an open thread Thursday. I'll ask there or on babycenter's Asian American families.

It's strange...I had a lot of pain in my hands when I was pregnant, but I heard that carpal tunnel is common in pregnancy. I still have pain in my hands 4 months post-partum. I thought it would be gone by now--especially since I have very limited time on the computer.
