Hi all,
I am considering taking a job with my finace in Gwanjeo-dong Daejeon. It is a hagwon but I checked the black list and that particular branch of the school isn't on there. I am talking to the foreign teachers who work there now and they haven't mentioned any major problems. We've even been able to negotiate the salary and vacation time to what we wanted.

Is anyone out there working there who can give me a positive experience? I've been reading about Daejeon on the forums here but haven't found too many positive experiences from people working at Hagwons there.

Daejeon is currently the least popular place in Korea to work at the moment. The Foreign Language Association there is mounting a huge campaign encouraging people to dob in a foreigner for doing privates and offering rewards for such information. Stay away!
