Just wondering if there are any scrapbooking stores in Seoul. I know there are tons and tons of stationary stores where you can buy stickers and coloured paper, but I am looking for some specific scrapbooking supplies. Any ideas? Thanks. |

koreans aren't that into scrapbooking....they have their cyworld pages and such....i was searching for scrapbooking supplies a while back and found ONE korean site that sold the stuff. i bought a 12x12 scrapbook for 45,000 won (which you could get for 20 at home) and some stencils and stuff.
my advice is to ad lib with what they've got here. you can buy some bigger albums/sketchpads/notepad type things......the hanji paper available everywhere in insa-dong is BEAUTIFUL and cheap....it's also not acidic so it's safe for your photos. you can buy photo corners at some stationery stores. i was just at the huge alpha store in namdaemun and they sell all the funky scissors, cool pens, and even paper punches, not to mention tonnes of awesome paper.
your absolute best bet is to have someone send you a scrapbook from home and then use the papers they have here -- they're better and cheaper here anyway...
good luck! |

I have been putting together a scrapbook over the past two years since i got here. I have been using paper and stickers that I am finding at stationary stores all around my area. I was just hoping to find a cool store where I would be completely overwhelmed with cool and cheap stuff. I guess that's not to be had in Korea. I am stocking up on stickers as they are cheap and of better quality here than back home in Canada. I am leaving soon and I would like to have a ton to take back home with me as I have found scrapbooking an interesting hobby. Thanks for you help anyway. |
