When a job posting is looking for someone with an F1,2,3 visa what does that mean exactly? Are they looking for gyopos? I'm not up on the different types of visas so I don't want to go barking up the wrong tree when looking for my next job. And what is an E7 visa? I couldn't find anything with the search function so if there is another thread can someone please point it out please.

F2 means married to a Korean citizen and they are sponsoring the residency visa for Korea. E7 is a consulting visa.

F1 and F3, I don't know.

F1 is for "Visiting and Joining families"
F3 is for "Dependent Families"
F2 is also for underage children of F2 visa holders & is also available to people who have lived in Korea for a number of years & have a vaild reason to stay.

I wonder why people would advertise for F1 or F3 visa holders as I don't think you can legally work as an English teacher on these visas.

You can have a look at the Korean Immigration website for more detail.

This sounds like their saying that they want someone who's already living in Kores so they can skimp on Accommodation..is this possible?

Good luck to them!

Usually schools offer an accommodation allowance if you've got your own place or are wanting to find your own place. I'd assume that would potentially cost them more money in the long-run than if they were to put down a lump-sum deposit on a place? They can get the money back on the house once the teacher moves out, but they won't get the housing allowance back.

It wasn't a teaching job. It was editing for an English magazine. I basically asked the question for future reference. Thanks for all the info guys.
