I am in the process of getting my MS in Language Education from Indiana University. Is it going to affect my job prospects when I get my MS as opposed to getting an MA? Is and MA more respected for some reason? What reason?
The category of degree, Arts or Science, may depend on the faculty the degree is granted in, which in turn depends on where the university decides to place a department (or in some cases, how they view a school - is education an art or a science?). The M is what is important; no concerns.
BTW, did Bill Johnston teach any of your courses? If yes, you are very fortunate; he's a great guy.
