Anyone notice the ads for this bit of clap trap on the subway these days? My poor Korean I can make out that it's been featured on Oprah but there's some cryptic reference to Harry Potter. No sure about that.

So, Korea, stop working hard. Just sit on your fat ass and think about what you want. You'll get it.

I've been thinking this book would come to Korea. Guess what...it looks like The Secret works.

That book has been here for a while. Both in English and Korean.

It is a great movie and book. But the law of attraction is more then just wishing for something, it's knowing what you want and putting the effoert to get it. If you don't have a goal how do you know where you are going?

This rubbish (the secret) is an insult to all that is not stupid in the world . Rather than buy this book , just urinate on yourself instead . It'll be the same basic experience .

I want to vomit everytime I hear someone talking about "the law of attraction" .

Sir, simply the best summation I've read in a long time. Well done.

I recently had to stop seeing a girl because she was telling me about the Secret. She showed me some clip on the internet about it, and at first I thought it was some kind of movie, but then I could see it was some repackaged power-of-positive-thinking scheme for the mentally feeble. I had to call things off with her right there. I just couldn't believe she would fall for something that is so transparently bogus. It's a shame, because we were going to go on a vacation together with the money that I'm getting from this exiled Nigerian prince.

There are some redeemable messages in the Secret. Visualization of your goals and seeing the positive aspects of other people can be life-altering, for sure. There are also some potentially harmful notions, such as victim blaming and self-monitoring (I mustn't feel angry or sad, etc.). I watched it with my mom and then we spent the week together. We got in a few arguments because we were "secreting out" on each other. It became somewhat laughable after awhile, though I thought before watching it and still think, that visualization is a powerful tool for life.
