August is the worst month in Korea. I can already tell. More bugs, hotter weather, extra work hours. I f^%*ing hate it already and it hasn't even officially begun. Am I wrong? |

Disagree.... well, at least in my case. Water is warm, beach is 5 minutes from my house, girls (yeah, true, k girls are merely eye candy) in little clothing. No rain. |

oh yeah summer is great when you're close to the beach
until the typhoons start affecting Korea mid-August
(until then the typhoons always turn before they reach here) |

The little gnats come out of nowhere. I swear, I leave a sliced apple out for more than 1hr and I've got about 15 of them flying around. I found these little slits at the bottom of my window. I closed those and have my sink closed as well. A good idea is to also put a twist-tie to seal your garbage bag if it's got any food in there. |

Having lived in Florida and the VI for a few years, I'll choose any August day over a cold depressing December day. A winter day here is much worse than a winter day back home. At least we have the scenery.
In regards to the beaches, I live next to a very popular one. But its not too relaxing. 10,000 Koreans on the beach, and 10 hundred Korean kids in the water saying "hi."
I miss the piss-warm water of the Caribbean and people not too afraid of getting a little color. |

Compared to previous summers, this one has been pretty mild I thought, same as last winter (mild). Very mild. |
