| I heard someone say its because they had to sustain their diets on rice and its not so much that their legs are short as it is that their torsos are long... still, when I see every asian person riding a bike that would only be fit for a 5 foot tall person from the west, it makes me wonder about how to define "long torso". Makes more sense to me to say they have regular torsos and very short legs. Or maybe we should call them 'natually short' with over-sized torsos.... |

I quite see the extended torso thing.
It seems more pronounced in Chinese and Japanese. they also have the legs twisted projecting outwards at the knees thing going on.
koreans have relatively good build I think by Asian standards. However a lot of the men have hips like a womans.. a really broad low slung hip. The men often have a chunky, outsized head set on rather narrow shoulders.
rule seems to go, unnatractive men = attractive women and vice versa.
Most typically well proportioned and athletic people, anyone? |

HA, I have to disagree about a few points, here... First, I agree that Japanese ppl have even shorter legs (Longer torsos?) than Koreans, but Chinese ppl seem to be closer to Europeans or Indian ppl... well, thats what i noticed. Korean women have wider hips and bigger boobs, but thier butts are flatter. Chinese women have narrow hips but at least their butts stick out more.
Ah, back to the topic of short legs (/people with long torsos), Maybe the phenomena looks especially pronounced in Koreans because, as you said, they have big flat-topped heads on narrow shoulders and generally are more stalky/beefy.. so they can just tent to look like a giant thumb tack funny funny haha.
I saw a porn with some Japanese women the other day, though.. and its like they dont even have legs... like they just have a torso with some flippers..
Cant agree about attractive men = attractive women... well, mostly.
This rule holds true for Brits.. both genders are .. uh... mooo...
And it holds true for Czech/Polish ppl ... OUCH both are hot.
But,, Italian women o-bite, and (ive heard) the guys are sexy.
French women hot, men not.
German men hot, women... soso
I guess Asian ppl might be the biggest exception to the rule... seems like the women are good, but the men... globally, not thought to be too hot. |

Wow- very interesting, fellow nerd.
I never got that either, the long, perfect torsos and short squat legs, as Korea is not THAT cold. But then I remembered they came from Mongolia, which is freezing...so it makes sense to have shorter limbs....
In Peru, a lot of the indians that have lived for ages up in the mountans have very broad torsos and backs (like Bender, the robot), as they tend to have larger lungs in order to deal with the high elevation. |
