I traveled from Athens to Italy. I would suggest traveling through Greece and taking a ferry to Italy. I spent time in Athens, then went up to Delphi by bus, then to Patras, and took a ferry to Corfu. From there, or maybe from Igoumenitsa, which is close by, you can take an overnight ferry to Italy. Corfu is a beautiful Island with lots of natural greenery, mountains, beaches, and lots of backpackers. PM me for more info on any of this. If you go south of Athens, you can go to Mykonos and Santorini, along with a host of other great beach spots. I would recommend any of the three islands I mentioned, but Corfu is the cheapest and is the only one on the way to Italy. |
