Hey - I remem a while back this topic came up, and I ran across something oh-so-interesting today.

From a hotel, with an English website, I was directed to the website for their nightclub/booking club's website. It's all in Korean, and some of the features/functions are locked without a login.

However - if I am reading it correctly - there is a page of 10 Booking questions & answers, I believe about 'how to properly use booking etiquette so you don't blow it with the drunk hotties.'

So, Jongno, Mith & company - care to help out??? Laughing

There are 2 dj shows this weekend right in that immediate vicinity, and so I may just spend the night @ the hotel one of those nights, and see how far an off-white face will get! (presuming, of course that they even let me in - it may be one of those times where money/dress/status doesn't matter a flip).

Regards,

G.

So a bump, in the hopes someone will try to give all us eager types the lowdown on what REALLY goes on in these places! Twisted Evil

Oh, it's a bunch of corny, worthless advice like: be polite to your partner, hold your partners interest, booking clubs are not all about one night stands (har har har), etc.

I'll give you the good advice, although if you can't speak Korean, I'm not sure how much use it's going to be. I think you'll be looking at a long night of girls making an X with their index fingers and saying "no english". Anyways...

1. Go with korean guys. Your group should be at least 50% korean dudes. I dunno why, but this just seems to make everything smoother.
2. If the girl doesn't like you, she'll be out of there within 60 seconds. Don't get mad, she's saving you time in the long run.
3. Don't offer the girl a drink until she stays a good 5 minutes and digs you. It's a waste. But then, definitely offer her a drink.
4. If you're on a budget, a whiskey glass filled with ice water is a good way to go.
5. Don't worry about being too callous. It's a really ruthless style of meeting people, something that makes the American bar scene look like 18th century courtship. Just cutting someone off and saying, "Well, it was nice to meet you" isn't totally out of line.
6. Get the girl's number or ask her to go somewhere else with you within 30 minutes. Within 10 minutes isn't unheard of.

Sound sleazy? Well, it is. Have fun.
