It's a 2001 Hyosung 125cc EXIV. Its not a cruiser but it looks like a sport bike, which is a little rare on these forums. I have rode it for a year and its time for someone else to enjoy it. Mechanically the bike is in perfect shape. Beats everything equivalent off the line. But there are some minor and cosmetic issues. Paint on the gas tank has gotten some kind of discoloration onto it. I'm not completely sure what it is because thats how I found it in the garage one day.

If you are looking for basic transportation that is a little more sexier than a scooter this can be the right deal for you. It also pays for itself. Total expenses per month is approximately 20,000 won a month for gas and maintainance.

I have originally bought it for 800,000. These are going for over a million won on internet sites and even higher on the street. I'm asking 450,000 won or obo. It has papers and I'm located in the Gyodae (Seoul National University of Education) area in Seoul.

450,000 won? With papers?

I don't usually comment here, but that's a bargain.

Wish I could get another bike...

How come you're enquiring about motorbikes when you desperately need to raise money for your critically ill dog? I'm sure there's a great reason, it might head off some raised eyebrows from all those whose heartstrings you've been tugging if you share it

Thanks for that comment. Not that it is your business now, but I sent money home immediately for my now deceased dog (rest his soul). Maybe you can't understand the pain that I have felt and continue to feel for that, but you surely don't need to comment on that situation if you don't fully know the details!

Sorry to hear about your dog. People are suspicious of hard luck stories on buy/sell forums, it's fair to be upfront about a sudden change of attitude from "everything must go for critical medical bills" to "mmm, motorbike".

what would get me killed faster?

1. riding in korean traffic
2. my wife when she finds out i've bought a motorbike

LOL

i'm hanging off buying another bike until i get out of korea. subway is cheap and convenient ... and i don't want to spend 6 months in a body cast.

nice bike and fantastic price. good luck with the sale.

update:
wow. didn't expect such an overwhelming response. i have been getting offers over my asking price. it is at 500,000 won now.

a few notes:
- it has a license plate on it.
- i was considering keeping the helmet. but i might negotiate a price for it.
- gauges have issues with it. rpms, gear indicator and gas gauges work. but speedo and odometer aren't working (hey! its just the way i got it!)
- some cracks and scratches on the fairings.
- every 2~3 weeks an oil change made
- its not a honda! its just a sticker.
- i won't be driving the bike to various locations all over seoul for test pilots. (i'd like to try to sell it in one piece!)

From what i've gathered about the status of the paperwork, it might be tricky to register and insure the bike.. still a deal possible here for anyone who isn't worried about registration but ... well, don't hit / get hit by any taxis. i've got a decent knowledge of licencing over here, welcome to pm with questions
