Often times when talking to a korean they will preface an idea or something with the following "As you know, I am Korea...."
I dunno why, it makes me laugh every time.
Its like they want to make sure I know I'm in Korea and didn't somehow end up in France or Mexico. |

| They want to highlight the fact that what they are relating is a KOREAN sentiment, and therefor, very special...why, I have no idea. |

Next time they say "As you know" say I didn't know that.
As you know, my son got married last month....
How the hell was I supposed to know that? |

| I had 5 ajosshi's students, business guys, surprised that I knew about coffee delivery girls and the like. I've been here almost 4 years. Hilarious. To think that a person could walk the streets of Korea and not realize in no longer than a week that this country is rife with whores. It's either good girl or *beep* style, with no middle ground until your an ajumma. |
