And as for Mr. Tancredo speaking about attacking Islamic holy sites as some kind of retaliation to a hypothetical attack on the United States, it's absolutely hypocrisy for someone who so conveniently wraps himself in the pro-life / Christian / anti-illegal immigrant issue. Just another false neo-con who's kissing a$$ for extra votes.

I agree. So, let's give them 24 hours to clear the city, then nuke it.

Biggotry my ass. Sounds like fighting them in terms that they have laid down and that they understand and respect.

Was destroying the World Trade Center a good deterrent?

I was making the point that supporting Tom Tancredo's comments puts one on par with the logic of the Wahhabi terrorists. And we know those people are very hateful. Bombing a holy site for Muslims because there are Muslim terrorists seems facist, does it not? So having a problem with the Taliban and Osama Bin Ladin who happen to call themselves Muslims means it is okay to bomb Mecca? I am not sure I get the logic.
Of course, a socialist would say get rid of all churches, temples, and what have you and would want them all bombed, not that Tom Tancredo would support that.

As far as the suicide bombers, they don't need the promise of virgins if they can get virgins by living a pious, Muslim life. I don't buy that people are motivated to go into combat to die to get virgins when they could get that by simply doing their prayers, going to Mecca, being pious etc...
It seems to defy logic. There were also women who were engaged who did that? I am not aware of the women getting men in heaven or what have you. It is so simple to boil things down to sex...

I am very sure James Baker who is wise would not make dumb comments like those made by Obama, Clinton, and Tancredo.
I would rather have Bush senior back considering the lack of logical candidates out there or Bill Clinton. This reminds me of the funny but sad statement by Ariel Sharon (may he recover) "We will bomb them to the negotiating table" and they are sounding like Arafat and loony Middle Eastern politicians rather than what you expect out of polished American politicians. I say James Baker for president or people watch what you say...

It got the anti war movement back in action.

I read an article about a group of businessmen who were secretly raising funds to destroy Muslim holy sites, without any link to any government. Mecca was the highest on their list. Still looking for that link.

How 'Christian' of Mr. Tancredo. You know, turn the other cheek, and all that.
Speaking of the IDF, one psych strategy sometimes used is to take out an obituary of a suspected terrorist in the local newspaper--before they're dead. Ouch.

LOL! Yeah, it is funny how convenient that saying is when is fits into the shape of someone's critical perspective.

Turn the other cheek? Sure, on an individual basis. But, on a global threat..........?

As distasteful as it might seem, Tancredo is doing the planet a big favor. When the "Custodians" in SA are forced to hear an American presidential candidate theorizing on destroying their personal little Holy Rock.....if and when one of their islamizoid spawn goes ballistic.......

only good things can ensue.

Again, America standing up for the West..........

...and Israel. That is probably why America is hated in that part of the world. Hence, the reason the Iranian president calls America the "Big Satan" and Israel "Little Satan".

Here is an interesting point.................Muslims consider the number 666 to be holly..........................

Israel has already let its lovely neighbors know what's up. If Tel Aviv goes, so goes Mecca.

Tancredo is simply getting up to speed.

Who gives a *beep* why America is hated??

We could study our northern neighbors until we are blue in the face, and never fully understand the hatred.

Let Arabs hate us as much as Canadians apparently do.. Both are irrelevant.....totally irrelevant....

this is what feeds their insanity...total irrelevance.

Which kind of leads me to wonder why you start so many threads about Canadians, given how irrelevant you think they are.

The irrelevance is a choice. I'm simply hoping that our great northern neighbor may someday choose to be relevant.

Still waiting........

If Arabs are irrelevant then why is your army in Iraq?

It is very naive to assume that there will not be any grass-roots Western backlash (terrorism) to muslim violence. Right now, most people have faith in their governments. This will not always be the case. Eventually, this conflict will return to the grass-roots level and that is when it gets really messy.

It is very possible that a group of pissed off dudes would take out meccah. Imagine if you lost your wife/daughter to some muslim violence..

This is exactly why we have to end muslim immigration and stop making war on their nations. We are in the very beginning of an extremely difficult and long war. This war must be prevented. Send the muslims home and stop pissing them off. They will turn on each other if we do.

Apparently, you didn't think when you hit the submit button, Mack.
Canadians and Arabs are irrelevant, the Middle East is irrelevant?

Let's start with Canada. JFK never thought Canada was irrelevant. He wanted Canada's resources. American presidents apparently want Canada on its side and often gets Canada on its side with some exceptions. When there were problems during 9/11 Canadians were helping in many different ways including sheltering Americans in a time of need. Canada exports oil and power from hydro-electricity.

The Middle East exports oil and natural gas. If the Middle East and Arabs are so irrelevant then why are there 130,000+ soldiers in Iraq? Why are there bases in the UAE and Kuwait? Is it because the soldiers are bored and they need some kind of assignment? It is because the Middle East has tons of natural gas and oil.

And last but not least many NHL players come from Canada and Canada has many times and many American hockey fans would take exception to you saying they are irrelevant. LOL
