I had a bad experience with them, I was part time and was never paid one month and then they were always a month behind in pay. |

Princeton Review Korea is supposedly a division of the test prep company with the same name in the United States.
In the states:

In Korea:

I'm looking. Thanks for reply. Thought my post would never get off the ground. |

There are established Princeton Review branches in Korea and I'm quite sure they would protect their brand very aggressively. If a knock-off popped up, I doubt it would last long.
(That said, I love the absurd disregard of intellectual property here...is the "Disney Bar" still there in Sinchon?) |

I've done work for them in the past. They are definately part of the larger Princeton Review organization. I think they pay a pretty penny for the right to use the name and they have to abide by TPR guidelines. |

Thank you, thank you!
Don't know about the Disney Bar but I believe the neglect of copyright. You know that "UCLA-Bruins" is a brand name here? Funny.
Hope ya'll are staying dry! |

My experience with Princeton Review:
1. I get hired and sign a contract in December to start work in Jan.
2. I give them my diploma to get the paperwork on a Visa going and I go home to the states for a month.
3. Two days after Christmas they e-mail me and tell me that they don't want to hire me after all and that I'll have to come back to Korea if I want my diploma back.
Bastards. |

Be care about working for them as they have many bad postings about them but it does not mean that they will treat you as badly as some teachers say they have been treated by them. Just do your own research and decide if you want to teach TEST PREP. As with most TEST Prep schools you can make a lot of money if you are a very good teacher and if you are not you will be shown the door very fast. |
