How much do lithium batteries (AA) cost in Korea? Anyone know? I need them for my digital camera. Thanks for your help! Smile

I would go with NiMH rechargeables. They don't last as long as lithiums but you keep some extras with you and just recharge them. I'm disappointed that most cameras now have gone to proprietary batteries.

Replacement proprietary batteries are cheap, hold a lot more juice than AAs, are a lot smaller, and are often of the 'smart' variety so you know exactly when it's going to lose their charge. They also don't suffer as much from the 'memory effect'.

Yeah. I wonder why they did it.

The only time that AAs are desirable is if you're going on a really long vacation... and even then, you have to plan for bringing extra memory cards, backups, etc. (better to bring a film camera in that case!)

In the OPs case, yeah - NiMH are definitely the way to go.
