I have finished three 1-year contracts in Korea. I am about to start #4.

I went for an interview today for a slightly better job, and expected it to be slightly more difficult to get offered the job.

The boss must have liked the look of me, and he especially liked my resume and my visa status. I was offered the job after basically 2 minutes. I talked more than they did, asking many questions.

Come to think about it, I don't think I have gone to more than 1 or 2 interviews that I didn't get the job. And those were part time jobs.

Do others here have the same experience?

I also have an F visa, and have been in-country for awhile. I would say that yes, my experiences are much the same.

Although I don't sign long-term contracts anymore, I am still interviewed for the freelance work that currently pays my bills. The interviews are a slam-dunk/formality.

(Although I do still show up looking professional. I am good, but perhaps not good enough to get the positions wearing a Ted Nugent concert t-shirt with a testicle hanging out of my cut-off jeans. I should try that some time.)

Yeah pretty much. Recruiters like me, less hassle for them.

I have an E-2 VISA , I ve turn down counteless jobs.
They dont care about your qualifications or experience.
I ve known of one expat who had been here for a few years , had been fired for every teaching and yet still had no trouble getting work.

I spoke too soon. I went for another interview today, and they made me jump through a few hoops. I had to teach a 5 minute demo class.

I still got the job, but it was slightly harder.

I haven't accepted it yet, but the offer is on the table.
