I may have posted a similar question a few weeks ago.
On the job forum I got some decent feedback. I thought I'd try here again.
I'm going to move to Namyangju City in a few weeks. I just turned down a job in Seoul to work in this place which I've heard referred to as a "dump", "the Ohio of Korea" and " a really nice place where there is peace and quiet and green grass"
So I'm just wondering if there is anyone else out there who can give me some good feedback? I do not want to live in Seoul. I am so over the bar scene and prefer to hang out with Koreans and foreigners who like outdoor sports and who are involved in church.
Is there anyone out there who can tell me more about this city? |

no one seems to really know anything about this place...
Maybe it really is like Ohio. |

I'm sorry, my post was not helpful. We talked before. Koreans love church, you'll have plenty of company at church. There are many hiking clubs in korea but the hikes are usually not in Namyangju. Thats OK, just get on the train to Seoul and then out to the hiking location and you do that on a Saturday or Sunday. If you like agriculture, you'll like Namyangju. |

thanks.
I'm sure to some it is a a bit of a hole. I've lived in China. Korean cities are not holes.
I do like agriculture. |
