| Just came back from panglao (alona beach) last sunday. I stayed at kalipayan at the end of Alona beach. Just walk all the way down the beach till you get to a rock staircase. Walk up the stairs and walk down the path and it is the first place on the left. Tita runs the front desk and you may be able to smooze her into a cheaper rate for your stay. A couple buddies and I stayed for 500 pesos a night. It also has a dive shop named Atlantis. The dive master's name is Vincent and you might be able to talk him down also. We did a couple dives for 2000 pesos a pop. This place is sweet and I am glad that I can recommend it to someone else so soon. You also should try to rent some dirt bikes and go cruise around in bohol. I think it was 600 pesos for 8 hours. Go see the chocolate hills in carmen and the tarsier which is one of the smallest monkeys in the world, and the rivers in bohol. I had such a great time in this area in this area. If you need any other tips just shoot me a pm. |
