hey there.
im having a few problmes at my hagwon at the moment. they are saying that i have to pay money into a pension fund, which i have argued as im a british citizen! i was under the impression, british citizens do not need to pay anything in a pension fund..... also, they are saying they will match what i put in, but i dont get to keep their contributions, only the money i put in will be refunded. Basicall, i just want to avoid the whole thing. Am i right in thinking im not eligible to pay as im British?
any help wud be much appreciated
thanks
john

You have to pay. British citizens have to pay, and then there is an agreement that the money will be transferred to the UK when you reach retirement age.

It is - assuming the agreement is still in place at that time.
