LOL. Seriously, the book Slaughterhouse is a good (but really upsetting) read; the author documents a lot of cruel acts that seem almost unbelievable even to people who (mostly) know what's going on. I just really disagree with the point I think The Conservative is using it to make.

See here is the problem. You make an assumption about someone and then proceed to say things like "I just really disagree.." How can you disagree when you don't even know what point is being made? Ever think of asking for clarification?

My point in case you were wondering is that animals in the so-called humane West are at times treated as badly as dogs (for bosintang) in Korea are. I thought that should be clear from my posts above.

So do you disagree with this?

I agree that the West doesn't treat animals "humanely," if that's what you mean. Whether some slaughter-bound animals are treated a little better than others, and which industries are the worst of the worst in this regard, are matters open to debate. I just don't think the debate is worth having. What all slaughterhouses in all countries do is unacceptable and needs to stop. Period.

Ha Ha Ha, the best laugh I've had in ages.

Eat dog. It's the same as eating any other meat. Try it while you're here, or you'll regret it later.

so talking about coffee girls is utterly offensive to you, but animal cruelty makes you laugh? whatever dude.

there are dog restaurants all over Seoul just look for the ones with no signs on them. I tried it, it wasn't great and i'm glad i wasn't picking up the tab.

A debate is a reasoned series of arguments using facts and logic to prove or disprove and ultimately persuade people of the truth of a certain proposition. You should try it sometime.

I just thought of a good way to find a dog restaurant. Look for a place with no sign, then look for Bramble carrying a large sign in front of it saying, "UNACCEPTABLE!!! YOU CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO EAT THAT!!!"

Cool

It would appear that prevarication in casual discussion and unwillingness to engage an issue directly with logic might seem to be a side of effect of a meatless diet ...

Cool
