Does anyone know if there are dog sitters in Korea, or a dog hotel where pets stay while their owners are on vacation? We are planning a trip to Thailand and wondering what to do with our pooch. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Edit. I should mention we live in Bundang so any advice in regards to this area would be greatly appreciated.

I believe in Korean, dog hotel is pronounced "Boshin-tang" ... Just look for the signs. I've heard conditions vary considerably though.

I started a page and found one in Bundang:

No idea if it's good or not. There's a huge list of them when you do a search on Naver so you might want to randomly browse some of these sites:

OP,

Many of the vets I've visited have a room (kennel-like) that houses your pooch while you are away....approximately 1.5mX2.5m. I HIGHLY suggest you visit the places first and find out what kind of attention your dog will get.

The rates are really cheap (our last vet charged 7,000 won per night... we didn't need the service, but asked just for the knowledge). They actually had land and a decent size staff...so chances are (whether they actually followed through with their claim) they would actually take the guests out for some freedom. Just 'make sure' your dog will get attention and some excercise!

I, however, would really look about for a dog sitter....especially someone you know and can trust.

!shoosh,

Ryst

Thanks for the advice. We would love to leave him with someone we trust rather than trust a kennel or vet, but we really don't have any friends here. We will definitely scope out the place before we trust our dog with them.

I think Puppy Garden in Sunae is still open.

There was also a puppy hotel in Jeongja near the Papa Johns.

Best bet is to take it to your vet. He most likely has a small kennel.

There are dog cafes around Seoul that charge less than dog hotels. The dogs aren't kept inside of kennels, they get to run free and play with other dogs and people like me who didn't bring their dogs to Korea and pay to sit and drink coffee and frolic with your dog.

Check it out...
