A few years ago, KPRROK started a scoring prediction league for the EPL. I've entered it (and done miserably  ) for the past several years. However, I haven't seen anything yet this year . 
So, I've set one up myself: http://iknowthescore.premierleague.com/ikts/predictions.html
Under "mini-leagues" just enter this code: 1144-ULXF

Thanks for remembering those. I really enjoyed them. I cam within a whisker of winning the 2nd year, but got beat out by livininginkorea because of a superior "scoreline."
I'll look into joining the league, but the last two years, I've kind of burned out within a month or so of every fantasy league I do. I just lose interest and can't keep it going. Maybe this year will be different after seeing Bolton in action last month.

It can be work, but if you're doing well, it's easier to keep going.
Of course, a lot of it comes down to luck. I've spent hours going over things before making my predictions, and done lousy. Other times, I've just gone down the list and entered the first score that popped into my head and done quite well.
Not sure what system I'm gonna use this time. 
Now, let's get a few more people involved!!!! Less than 11 hours to go....  |

bloody 'ell... browsing daves for old times sake having left the rok a couple of years ago and this little gem turns up!
i loved the old prediction-tastic, statto is a legend! can't believe i was so rubbish at it though
unfortunately i don't really have the time to keep predicting on a regular and reliable basis...

Wallowing along in mediocrity, I decided to check the leader board and I almost spewed my coffee all over my new computer when I saw who the leader of the league is. Mind you, this is the leader of the ENTIRE league on the Premier League Prediction site ( http://iknowthescore.premierleague.com/ikts/predictions.html ). Kinda glad this fellow never did join the sad little Dave's League that I set up (which has a whopping 4 players). The "ROK-Predicitontastic" League is being led by dghuffer, a past participant in Statto's league here on Dave's. However, it is another of the 'old guard' that is leading the overall league (i.e. is 1st out of a mere 106106 other players). And that is none other than...
davyteacher!
(And silly old me thought being in the top 6,000 was decent!  )
Well done davy, and may you maintain your current form. Don't wanna jinx ya...honestly hope you can keep it up in 2008! |
