not really sure but I'd say that Korean men (and all other men in Korea) like feminine looking women...(and we get them too!)

Agreed.

Done with the bi-curious thing anyway. If I wanted a smooth, skinny, pretty thing then I'd just date a girl Very Happy

But then you get boobs instead of a *beep* and another PMSing person to deal with. If I want to play with boobs, I'll play with my own.

Give me smooth and penised, please.

Bi isn't very feminine (a little in the face.. ) and yet he's one of the most popular male singers in Korea. He's butch.

You really think so?

Just kidding, I really had to search for some dorky pics.

I've sort of touched on this subject with my female adult students in a few conversation classes. Usually the first thing they say, is that they want a man who is "kind." "Kindness" seems to be a very important character trait in this culture. Maybe the more effeminate men appear to be more "kind."

Nateium, are these students usually married women? It wouldn't surprise me if they said kindness if they were married. If they aren't, then I would think that money and social status would be number one. In this society....yep. Unfortunatley, I think many Korean women marry for money and status and, once they're married, their husbands aren't that kind to them anymore. All of the sudden, kindness becomes important to these women. I might get in trouble for that remark, but I really do think it's commonplace in Korean society.

Also, I would bet that some of these women who marry for money, find that their rich husbands are cheap. Just because a man has money doesn't mean he'll spend money on you. Marrying for money is stupid,

However, this is all BS from what I see (methinks a nerdy newspaper cubicle writer is behind this writing). I've yet to meet or see a buff decent-looking in-shape bodybuilder-type (Korean or Western guy), not have the pick of the litter from almost any chick he wants.

I DO however see very good-looking lanky dudes not be able to get girls.

Laughing This is so true, I've never in my life seen a buff guy without a girlfriend however I've seen plenty of, as Arnold would say, "girly men," without girl friends.

Study: Women Prefer 'Feminine' Men for Long-Term Relationships
Wednesday, August 08, 2007

E-MAIL STORY PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION
Do women view "macho" men as unsuitable for the long-haul?

Yes they do, according to a new study that says women prefer men with feminine facial features for long-term partnerships.

The study, published in the current edition of Personality and Individual Differences, asked more than 400 British men and women to judge digitally altered pictures of male faces made to look more masculine or feminine.

Participants predicted personality traits including sexual behavior and parenting skills based on what they saw.

Men with masculine faces, with features such as a square jaw, larger nose and smaller eyes, were described as significantly more dominant, less faithful, worse parents and as having personalities that were less warm compared to their "feminine" counterparts, who had finer facial features with fuller lips, wide eyes and thinner, more curved eyebrows.

The study found that women believe men with feminine features to be more caring and less likely to cheat on their partners.

Dunno about the little girly boys not turning into wife beaters though. Seems to me the bigger tougher dudes tend to be less abusive to their ladies then the insecure little metrosexual turd sniffers that flounce around like they are showing off a pair of panties on the cat walk.

Just my take.. could be wrong... but I doubt it.
