|
|
Hi, folks. Is there any reason that a domestically produced Korean model of a new Sony Vaio laptop would be incapable of having an English OS installed on it? Would there by any issues with chipset or drivers, etc.?
A friend of mine went shopping today and he could get no answers from the folks at Yongsan.
Edit: I forgot to mention that the OS in question is Vista. The laptop FAQ already addresses the XP OS. |

As long as you have the drivers available for the re-install their will be no problem changing the OS.
Laptops have proprietary drivers for most of the hardware in them so make sure you have the drivers or rescue disk (with drivers on it) available. |

Sony had more proprietary drivers than most. |
